Nokia N78 Review – Affordable Excellence from Nokia

The Nokia N78 is one of a long line of 3G smart phones from the Finnish manufacturer. A candy bar style phone, the N78 has a lot of style and looks typically sleek. It feels solid, has a lovely feel to it and comes in three colour options: the black looks particularly good, brown rather stylish, and the white is becoming more popular these days.
One feature of the N78 that sets it out from the others is the interesting keyboard. Set in a bar design, this is an almost unique feature that takes the N78 into the range of other fashion phones. This phone is not just for looks however, as a 240 x 320 pixel screen that can display 16 million colours is from the top drawer. This smart phone is only 15 mm deep making it sufficiently compact.
The N78 is equipped as phones in this bracket should be with HSDPA technology, giving it the required connectivity that users want these days. 3G technology enables video calls, and with two cameras, this is a very impressive system indeed. As befits a famous brand such as Nokia the N78 comes with a built-in browser; this has full RSS feed capability and access to the World Wide Web. With a built-in e-mail service supporting e-mail attachments this phone has added capability over many of its rivals and we found it very easy to use and navigate. Whether wishing to purchase a business or personal phone this Nokia is certainly one to consider in a marketplace populated by very impressive machines. As would be expected SMS text and MMS messaging are both incorporated, and the picture messaging service is very usable and excellent fun, and can also be used to send video.
The N78 has a built-in stereo radio and also a feature whereby the user can view information provided by the radio station on the screen. How usable this is is open to debate but it is a very interesting feature and will surely provide entertainment for some. The integrated music player is as most, and incorporates all the popular former; with easy to create playlists the Nokia N78, when used with its stereo speakers provided as standard, is a very capable sound machine.
In conclusion, the N78 is a worthy contender in a tightly fought market sector. Given the legend that is Nokia it would be no surprise to see this phone sell by the hundreds and establish itself on the marketplace. There are other contenders in the market, yet the N78 stand comparison with most. We like it and think it very stylish and nice to handle, was extremely usable and capable, handset from Finland’s finest.
